At Wichita Habitat for Humanity, we’re dedicated to creating a world where everyone has a safe and stable place to call home. We achieve this by empowering families, particularly those facing difficult circumstances, to achieve homeownership. Through education and sweat equity, families go through the homeownership journey learning about the process of owning their home, maintaining their home, and building financial literacy. This enables them to not just have a house, but to build a secure future for themselves and their loved ones.

This dream wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our community partners like T-Mobile! On Saturday, April 20, T-Mobile generously presented a check for $10,000 to support our Women Build campaign. These funds will directly help us empower women in Wichita to build and improve homes in their communities.

“We’re thrilled to partner with T-Mobile,” said Danielle Johnson, executive director of Wichita Habitat for Humanity. “Their contribution plays a key role in supporting our community, especially by addressing the critical issue of affordable housing.”

Women Building a Brighter Future

The Women Build campaign is more than just construction of a home for a family partner. It’s about empowering women to gain valuable skills in the building trades and make a tangible difference in their neighborhoods. This year, Indaka, a single mother and first-time homebuyer, is our Women Build family partner. Thanks to the support of T-Mobile, volunteers, and the Wichita Habitat team, Indaka and her son will soon have a place to call their own.

Join Us in Making a Difference

The final phases of construction are underway on Indaka’s home, and there’s still time to get involved! We’re looking for volunteers each Saturday to come out and make the final touches on the house! Lend a hand and help this family build a secure future!
