Preserving the Griffin family home through community impact

In a powerful display of partnership, we collaborated with GAF this past year to ensure long-term security and stability for a local family in Sedgwick County.

For over five decades, Mr. Griffin has lived in his home, sharing it with his son, grandchildren, and his wife, who lives with dementia. The family faced a critical challenge: a failing roof that threatened the cancellation of their homeowner’s insurance and their ability to remain in the home they have cherished since 1971.

Through its “Community Matters” initiative, GAF stepped in to provide a timely intervention for our Home Repair Program. They donated all essential roofing materials and brought a dedicated team of volunteers to work alongside our staff to complete vital home restorations.
