Introducing

The Pope Leo Village

Inspired by Pope Leo XIV's commitment to justice, service, and unity, an anonymous donor has generously stepped forward to bring the multi-city Pope Leo Village campaign to Wichita. We are rallying youth, faith communities, and volunteers from all walks of life to rehabilitate six safe, affordable homes right here in Sedgwick County.
You are the foundation of Pope Leo Village—the hands and hearts of our community coming together to create change. Through your labor and spirit, we are opening doors to new possibilities and making the dream of homeownership a reality for these hardworking families in our community.

Put Your Faith into Action

Seeking to put God's love into action, Wichita Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
By participating in the Pope Leo Village, you are answering a call to serve your neighbors and enact your social responsibility through tangible work. Whether you are a student, a corporate team, or a local resident, your faith in our collective future helps foster the independence and self-determination essential for families to thrive.

United in Purpose

Wichita Habitat for Humanity moves forward through the power of collective action. The Pope Leo Village stands as a testament to what we can achieve when we align our efforts for the greater good. To complete these eight home rehabilitations, we rely on your presence and your generosity to transform this vision into a reality for our neighbors.

Volunteer

There is no substitute for the energy of neighbors helping neighbors. When you volunteer, you actively participate in the building process, working shoulder-to-shoulder with future homeowners to restore safety and dignity.
  • Serve where needed: Volunteers may participate at a variety of locations, from the Pope Leo Village build sites to ReStore Wichita.
  • Come as you are: No prior construction experience is needed. We provide all necessary training and tools to ensure you succeed.
  • Requirements: For safety, volunteers must be ages 16 and older to volunteer at a build site or in the ReStore.
