Riverfest recap: A community build and mural

It was a wonderful week at Riverfest, where the community came together for a unique project. In collaboration with Brickmob, we created a beautiful mural on the framed walls of a future Wichita Habitat house. The home will soon belong to Isaac and Any, and attendees had the chance to write good wishes to them on the walls.
The build was a true community effort. Earlier in the week, teams from LTC, HealthCore, Rhoden Roofing, Sunflower Health Plan, and WSU Tech worked alongside our staff and core volunteers to frame the house. We’re so grateful to Cushman & Wakefield for sponsoring our presence at the event.

Beyond the main build, there was something for everyone. We had a super fun mural just for kids in the Kids’ Corner! People could also walk through the framed house to see the progress and learn more about our work. Thank you, Wichita, for your incredible support and for helping a hardworking family on their path to homeownership.
