What is Raise the Roof? A look back and forward

Raise the Roof is Wichita Habitat for Humanity’s signature event, a community of celebration that brings together generations of supporters —individuals, businesses, and organizations—all united by a common purpose: to provide safe, affordable housing for families in our community. From humble beginnings to the thriving organization we are today, this event, once known as “A Toolbox Bash,” has consistently provided critical funding that directly supports the construction and rehabilitation of homes. This year, as we host “Raise the Roof: A Toolbox Bash,” we celebrate the hands-on effort and collaborative spirit that goes into every Habitat home. It’s an evening dedicated to celebrating our collective accomplishments, recognizing our incredible partners who have been with us through the years, and looking forward to a future where every family has a place to call home.

Why is Raise the Roof so important? The lasting impact of home

The vision of affordable housing in Sedgwick County is a legacy we continue to build upon. For many families, the dream of homeownership remains out of reach. Wichita Habitat for Humanity has been, and continues to be, a beacon of hope, partnering with families to build and purchase homes with affordable mortgage payments. Raise the Roof is instrumental in continuing this vital work by:
