Project Coordinator - Construction
Department: Construction
Reports to: Program Director, WHFH
Classification: Full-time
Primary Office Location: Wichita, KS
The Project Coordinator reports to the Program Director and plays a key role in supporting the Construction Team by organizing, directing, and overseeing residential construction project activities from initiation through close-out. This position ensures projects start on time and run efficiently by providing essential administrative and logistical support.
Key responsibilities include tracking project progress, managing schedules, resolving on-site issues, coordinating material orders, processing invoices, monitoring inventory, and producing job cost reports. The Project Coordinator also serves as WHFH’s primary liaison with the Metropolitan Area Building & Construction Department (MABCD), public utilities, subcontractors, suppliers, and core volunteers.
