Please note that the following information is meant to serve as a general guide for donors. Acceptable items are subject to change.¹ Legal restrictions and limited storage capacity prevent the acceptance of some items.

Items must be in new or gently-used condition, clean, stain-free, ready to sell as-is, complete with all pieces. We are unable to accept broken, stained, inoperable items, or items that violate health and safety regulations. Our ReStore staff and volunteers will assess your items, and reserve the right to decline donations, either in part or entirety, if it does not meet our donation criteria or standards.

Yes, please!

New or gently-used kitchen appliances.

New or gently-used laundry appliances.

Small appliances like vacuum cleaners and coffee makers.

Items must be clean, ready to sell as-is, and complete with all pieces.

Vintage appliances may be taken on a case-by-case basis.

Large or small appliances not in working order.

Rusted appliances or without all parts.

Yes, please!

Interior and exterior doors in good, clean and sellable condition without alterations or damage.

Pre-hung doors.

Framed or unframed.

French doors or sliding doors.

Some commercial doors are accepted.

Fully functional dual-pane windows in good condition with no visible wear-and-tear and/or damage. Wood windows may be accepted after visual inspection.

Sliding closet, bi-fold, and pocket doors in good condition.

Oversized and garage doors may be accepted after a visual inspection and taken on a case-by-case basis.

Unframed glass or mirrors.

Blinds/mini blinds, curtains, or window treatments.

Vinyl windows with the flanges cut or with any side greater than six (6) feet.

Single-pane windows.

Shower doors (unless it is new in box).

Fully intact.

Upholstered furniture cannot be worn, faded, torn, soiled, or stained.

Tables, chairs, and bar stools.

Old-style entertainment centers or stands for tube/CRT televisions.

Bathtubs, shower enclosures, and surrounds in good condition and free of stains.

Toilets must be clean and in good condition.

Medicine cabinets.

Kitchen and utility sinks.

Bathroom fixtures and hardware.

Freestanding soaker tubs may be taken on a case-by-case basis.

Vanity bases or bases with tops in good condition (or have light cosmetic damage).

Lumber. Dimension lumber and trim must be at least 4 feet long and free of nails.

Garden and backyard tools.

pickup requirements

Requesting a pickup for your home? When you schedule your FREE pickup with ReStore Wichita, we request that all donations be brought out to the curbside, into your driveway, or to an easily accessible part of your garage. Our pick-up staff cannot enter your home to retrieve items due to liability concerns. Use our Priority Pick-up option, powered by ReSupply, and items can be retrieved from anywhere (including within your residence or a storage unit). Pick-up fees apply when using ReSupply.²
