Local brewery donates to Wichita Habitat for Humanity
On September 13, Central Standard Brewing invited Wichita Habitat for Humanity to its brewery to present a significant donation of $5,384 to the organization through its Service for Change initiative. This donation marks a major milestone in the brewery’s ongoing efforts to make a positive impact on the community.
Launched in partnership with over 16 local businesses, Service for Change aims to raise $100,000 through community-focused events and initiatives. By supporting local businesses and collaborating on shared goals, the campaign seeks to create a more vibrant and thriving Wichita.
The Lunacorn Release held back in May, featuring a unique soda surprise and limited-edition glassware, was a resounding success, contributing substantially to the donation. This achievement not only surpassed Central Standard Brewing’s fundraising goal but also demonstrates the power of community involvement and collaboration. The business will continue to support Service for Change with even more opportunities in the upcoming months.
Spearheaded by Jennifer Ray, owner of The Monarch, Service for Change is more than just a fundraising initiative. It’s a platform for local businesses to come together, collaborate, and create lasting change in Wichita. By partnering to cross-promote initiatives and working together, businesses can amplify their impact and demonstrate the power of collective hospitality.
Service for Change embodies the spirit of intentional giving and collaborative action within the service industry. As a leader in the Wichita community, Central Standard Brewing is demonstrating the power of collaboration and community-driven initiatives and Wichita Habitat for Humanity is thankful for its contribution to the organization’s mission of engaging in affordable housing solutions.
